A while back the ever-fabulous Marlene did a Chickbands giveaway. While I didn't win, it made me aware of the product and I quickly fell in love. These are VERY reasonably priced headbands that really, honest-to-goodness do not slip. Here's what I love about them:
- Price point
- The fact that they don't slip, as mentioned. I think they are lined in velvet, which does an amazing job.
- The HUGE range of colors, widths, and patterns they come in (I own 4 sparkly ones, an argyle, and a houndstooth, and there are like 15 others I want to buy)
- They ship quickly and at a reasonable shipping cost ($1 for your whole order, I believe)
- The owner, Kara, is an absolute sweetheart and is great to work with if you ever do have a question. For instance, I recently sent a Chickband to a friend as a gift and asked if she would include a gift note and remove price information, both of which she did and was so nice about it!
I wear them to run in (and this is proof that I don't just share the "good" pictures. What? It was early.) This was this morning in my silver sparkly super-skinny.
And every now and then I wear them to work. This is my argyle 5/8 inch Chickband.
The only caution I might issue is that the really wide bands don't sit flat enough to be comfortable for running. They work great for everyday wear though, and you may find that they work for running for you. Maybe my noggin' is just a funny shape. :)

I don't know if I'm eligible for this, since you know me and know that I am the least runnerly person ever. :( But I do like the Chickbands (on Facebook, even), and if they really and truly don't slide, then I think I need one. I have never been able to tame my hair at the gym and it is driving me batty. So, with that said, I really like the Kristina thin chickband. Please and thank you.

I liked them on Facebook and also perused their Etsy sight. I really like the red polka dot ones & I could wear them to work. I honestly might get some teal sparkle ones for my color guard next fall.

Already a Facebook Chickband and personal Kara fan! My daughter, who's 7, and I love the bands. I wear my wide gray, red and green ones most often but I like all the creative and cute patterns as well.
