Happy 300th, with a giveaway!

I have a LOT that I want to get in this post, so today you get a very rare appearance of Three Things Thursday here on JoannaRuns.
  1. I can hardly believe it, but this is my 300th post! Happy blogiversary, me! In honor of this big event, I'd like to do a giveaway. Leave a comment on this post and I will draw a lucky winner next Wednesday to receive a personalized running sign like the one below.* I've wanted to make this for a while and decided, well, to just do it (ha! Sorry. Couldn't resist). You could pick city letters, a state abbreviation, 13.1, 26.2, or something else creative that's 2-3 characters.

And to give a better sense of its size, here it is with other things. It's about 9.5"x9.5". I'm going to put it on my office door at work.

  2. Dear Thursday Run,
This week started out pretty crappy. But two nights of tv and knitting, with a Cards win in Game 1 of the World Series (honestly, how could you not be rooting for those guys??) and some progress on projects has wiped the grumpiness away. You were like that today, too. At first it was just chilly, but by the end I was totally into it and even tacked on an extra half mile. Thank you SO much for redeeming yourself and being such a great parallel to my week. You bring my life into perspective sometimes, and I love you for that.
    xoxo, Joanna
  3. I had my 16 week OB appointment today and everything appears to be going well! I heard the baby's heartbeat and all my numbers are looking good. I haven't gained even a pound yet, but this is of no concern at this point. The weight will come and I am at a healthy BMI, so there is no need to chug milkshakes. And since I'm emotional and super schmoopy about all things relating to my kids (plural! and who am I kidding, I can cry at the drop of a hat right now, thank you hormones) these days, I'm breaking blog protocol and sharing this picture. To steal a line from Kibble, you might be dead inside if this doesn't make you smile just a little bit. But maybe I'm biased. :)

Don't forget to leave a comment for the giveaway!

I am loving watching the World Series. Loving it.

And I saw that you just ran through my state of Utah. Hope you had a good visit.

Congrats on 300!!

So glad that things are going well with your bun in the oven.

(Also, I'll cheer for anyone other than the Rangers. Bastards beat the Tigers...)

Congrats on having a picture of the little one that is super cute, but still faceless so you could share on the blog. Your sign is super cute, you will have to show me how to make one.

Yippee for a blogiversary! I'll admit it - I'm not a huge fan of baseball, but I was excited when the Tigers were doing well! (Michiganders tend to get excited when their sports teams do well...we're weird like that...)
